Click the image above to view the full flyer.

Hosted by Bet Tzedek, in partnership with the Asian Pacific American Women Lawyers Alliance (APAWLA)

Immigrant and low-income communities have been economically devastated by COVID-19. Asian American communities in Los Angeles are no exception. The goal of this clinic is to provide assistance to Chinese-speaking workers in Los Angeles County with work-related issues.

Clinics are held virtually every Wednesdays from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m., starting Wednesday, June 3, 2020 until Wednesday, July 29, 2020. Volunteers are required to be available by phone for a 2-hour block (between 4:00 to 8:00 p.m.) to participate in the Wednesday clinic.

Through the virtual clinic, volunteers conduct intake interviews of clients who seeking pro bono legal aid for employment issues, with a focus on serving Chinese speakers. Volunteers will gain experience working directly with supervising attorneys and discussing how California law applies to the clients' unique circumstances.
